An Evening with Kevin Keegan

AFC Oldham is delighted to announce that tickets are now on sale for An Evening with Kevin Keegan OBE.

Following on from last year when another English sporting icon, Frank Bruno, joined us, football legend Keegan is sure to promise a night of fun and entertainment.

Taking place on Saturday 15th October, just 5 weeks before the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, the former England manager will be on hand to talk through his incredible career, with the opportunity for attendees to ask Kevin any questions that you may have.

As a player ‘King Kev’ was capped 63 times for England, scoring 21 international goals and captaining his country 31 times. He’s a European Cup Winner (with Liverpool), twice European Player of the Year (with Hamburg), won numerous league titles, the FA Cup, the UEFA Cup and played with distinction for both Southampton and Newcastle United. And who can forget his management spells with Newcastle United, Fulham and Manchester City?

In keeping with the England World Cup theme, Kevin will be joined by brilliant comedian, John Stiles, former professional footballer and the son of 1966 World Cup-winner Nobby Stiles. John played for Leeds United and Doncaster Rovers, before injury cut short his career in the game. Always the joker in the changing room, he made the natural progression in to a comedian.

John is one of the most popular and busiest comedians on the after-dinner circuit, we know him well from our Ian Holloway dinner where he entertained the crowd with his original brand of one liners, comedy voices and impressions.

Our host is David Broadbent, better known as Broady. He has over 20 years experience and currently hosts matchdays at both Anfield and Old Trafford. David is an Oldham lad and spent 10 years being the stadium announcer at Latics. David presented on 96.2 The Revolution between 2006-2015, has appeared on TV on a number of occasions and is also a stand up comedian.

Tickets for the evening are priced at £45, this includes the above entertainment plus a 3 course meal followed by tea and coffee. Expect the usual fun and games to get everybody into the party spirit, along with a raffle and auction of sporting memorabilia after the meal. VIP/Corporate Packages are available.

Our events raise much needed funds for the Club, the community work we do and our two mental health initiatives. We really appreciate the support we get from everyone who attends our dinners and we hope we repay them every time with a great meal, a brilliant comedian and a fantastic guest speaker.
