About the event
Join AFC Oldham and Mental Health Football at Smokies Park Hotel on Friday 12th September as we welcome Oldham Athletic legend, John ‘Shez’ Sheridan as he shares stories across a glittering career, and get a real insight into life behind the scenes and dressing room antics from the clubs he has played and managed at.
The exclusive live and unscripted show will see guests hear about his academy days at Manchester City through to three spells at Latics, via a first division title at Leeds, a cup final winner for Sheffield Wednesday (against Man United) and two World Cup trips with Ireland from the man himself.
Guests can arrive at the bar area from 6pm before being seated at their tables for 7pm. Our compere will introduce the comedian and special guest speaker before we take in Smokies ‘Diamond Buffet’ which includes meat & potato pie, cheese & onion pie, chicken curry, rice, chips, bread, pizza slices, chicken wings, mixed vegetarian Indian selection and mixed sandwich platter. Yum!
Our speaker and comedian will then take centre stage before the evening is concluded with a live memorabilia auction and raffle.
Dress Code
Smart casual (no hoodies or hats).
Tickets
Tickets are £40 each (tables of ten £360), guests will be seated on tables of ten.

Our events raise much needed funds for the Club, the community work we do and our Mental Health Football initiative. We really appreciate the support we get from everyone who attends our dinners and we hope to repay them with a great meal, brilliant speaker and a fantastic comedian. Thank you for your support.
