Mental Health Walking

Mental Health Walking is held on the first Sunday of every month, 10.30am at Northern Roots, Oldham.

It is a pressure and judgement free environment where attendees can just turn up for a walk and talk with a great group of friendly, welcoming people. MHW is open to anyone with no sign up or commitment necessary.

The aim is to help improve people’s mental health using physical activity and peer support, in a friendly, easy going atmosphere. The walk lasts just over an hour.

Our first MHW was in May 2021 and our walkers have enjoyed getting out in the fresh air, taking in 160 acres of green space, just a few minutes away from Oldham centre.

If you’d like to get involved with MHW as an attendee or volunteer, please send us a message at: mhfoldham@gmail.com or follow our social media accounts here: Facebook, Twitter.
