AFC Oldham Third Team 2-2 Radclyffe AFC

Division C

Clayton Park Playing Fields

A point is enough to keep the Third Team’s hopes of a title win alive, as they stay four points behind Radclyffe with a game in hand.

It could have been much better, though, with the visitors down to ten men for a good portion of the match, but AFC were unable to find that winning goal.

Two early goals left Oldham in trouble, a spirited fightback, however, was enough to seal what could turn out to be a huge point come the end of the season.

The result leaves AFC in third place with 19 points, while Deans FC are on 21 in second having played a game more, Radclyffe just above them on 23.

With no game next weekend Dean Bardsley’s men will look to pressure on the leaders the following Saturday when they host Chorltonians Athletic, who sit bottom of the table with two points.
