While training has been continuing all summer, AFC Oldham had their first pre-season training session on Saturday.
Last season was a mixed one for the Open Age sides, the Thirds finished second and won the Hellawell Shield.
Their success couldn’t be replicated at a higher level, though, with both the First and Second teams finishing in the bottom two and suffering early cup exits.
Training sessions will be held on Wednesday nights 7pm until 8pm and 12pm-2pm at Hathershaw College until the start of the season, with friendlies starting in mid-July.
